The legislator has equalised the period of legal stay under the law itself for foreigners - refugees from Ukraine - with the stay of other foreigners who, due to anti-covid legislation, can stay in Poland without valid residence permits. However, he has already set a date by which all foreigners without valid residence permits should submit their legalisation applications. This date is 24.08.2023! After this date, your stay in Poland will be illegal if you have been staying on the basis of regulations extending the validity of your documents by operation of law itself or if you intend to stay in Poland for a longer period of time being a "refugee" from Ukraine. Therefore, it is advisable to take care of the legalisation of your stay now and submit the relevant applications.
